President Bush should enact this legislation by 5/19/2008. By 5/28/2008, the U.S.A. WHY:

  • Greatly reduce and stabilize gasoline prices (e.g. regular 87 octane close to $1.30 - $1.40/gal), utility bills, transportation/other energy costs, food prices.
  • Also, improve USA sovereignty and solve other related national and world problems.

WHEN:
April 1 or 2, 2008 - between 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

WHERE:
Every office in home states of all 100 Senators and 435 Representatives, or in their Washington D.C. offices.

WHO:

  • Representatives of groups/organizations (with 100 or more voters) should visit these Senators'/Representatives' offices in person.

HOW:
Demand a prompt written response to the following urgent issues by USA Congress and the following legislative actions:

  • UNCAP AND DRILL U.S.A. OIL WELLS: By 4/17/2008 US Senate, and by 4/18/2008, US House, should pass a bill providing a "price-support" (tax credits, etc.) of $25 to $30/barrel of oil and $4.00/1,000 cu. ft. of natural gas; and that adds incentives to increase U.S. oil refinery capacity. This would prevent OPEC monopoly (CARTEL) from dropping its prices below these price supports to stop or greatly reduce U.S. domestic oil/natural gas production, as it did at $10.00/barrel in 1998. President Bush should sign this bill by 4/21/2008, and it should require him to have his Departments of Interior, Agriculture, and Bureau of Land Management on 4/22/2008 to start proper increased leases for oil/natural gas production on most or all of Federal Lands in several western states (e.g. Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico) and other USA states, especially on Gull Island and other parts of Alaska's North Slope Petroleum Reserve separately west of Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). One to three months after President Bush signs this bill, these actions should greatly start increasing our domestic oil/natural gas reproduction from private and federal the lands in these USA states and off-shore in Gulf of Mexico and USA West and Southeast Coast waters - ESPECIALLY from ALASKA'S LONG-CAPPED Gull Island Well. In a year or so. this should reduce our oil imports from 60% to 20% or so (most from Mexico) of our oil consumption, with NO IMPORTS from IRAQ MIDEAST/OPEC monopoly. Exports of Alaskan/Other USA oil and natural gas production should be prohibited.

We already have meet-ups posted for both of these events so please RSVP for both of these events if you haven't already. Just scroll down to where is says "More from our calender" This meet-up, the "Iowa Preparation Meet Up and ImPEACEment Party," is going to be held at Gillham Park (41st & Gillham Rd) at 5:00PM in Kansas City, MO.

Topeka Ron Paul Meetup 7/08/2007 Meeting

Four of us met in Topeka, KS, on Sunday, 7/08/2007.

How do we add to the number that are involved in the effort to spread the word about Ron Paul? By talking to as many people as we can about Ron Paul. Some of these people will recognize the chance for political reform along Constitutional and moral principles that is Ron Paul's presidential campaign.

1. Reach people via door-to-door, with walking lists, to leave door-hangers, and to offer other info, like push-cards and DVDs.

2. Bring material to gatherings of people, including farmers' markets, with general material and any more specific material (like issues related to farming and ranching).

3. Look at local printing of color flyers in bulk. Look at possibility of getting a color laser-printer.

Ron Paul - Ron Paul in Kansas City

June 22, 2007

Kansas City enthusiastically welcomed Congressman Ron Paul last Friday, June 15th. [VK Notice]

Dr. Paul started the day with an interview by the editorial board of the Kansas City Star. Afterwards, he spoke to the National Right to Life Convention where he received a standing ovation. A reporter for the Los Angeles Times then interviewed Dr. Paul for over an hour for a major article to be published in a few weeks. After the interview, Missouri State Representative Jim Guest hosted a luncheon for Dr. Paul. They were joined by Missouri State Representative Brian Yates.

Throughout the day, a two-man camera crew from the New York Times photographed Dr. Paul for an upcoming article in the New York Times Sunday magazine. The crew traveled with Dr. Paul to Phoenix the next day.

Photographs of the Kansas City event are posted at http://flickr.com/photos/92572752@N00/sets/ 72157600421461719

Thank you Kansas City!

Kent Snyder, Chairman
