Corruption

Bill Moyers - "Democracy can’t exist without an Informed Public"

"[I]n the zesty progressivism of early New Deal days, the Federal Communications Act of 1934 was passed (more on this later.) The aim of that cornerstone of broadcast policy, mentioned over 100 times in its pages, was to promote the “public interest, convenience and necessity.” The clear intent was to prevent a monopoly of commercial values from overwhelming democratic values – to assure that the official view of reality – corporate or government – was not the only view of reality that reached the people. Regulators and regulated, media and government were to keep a wary eye on each other, preserving those checks and balances that is the bulwark of our Constitutional order.

What would happen, however, if the contending giants of big government and big publishing and broadcasting ever joined hands? Ever saw eye to eye in putting the public’s need for news second to free-market economics? That’s exactly what’s happening now under the ideological banner of “deregulation.” Giant megamedia conglomerates that our founders could not possibly have envisioned are finding common cause with an imperial state in a betrothal certain to produce not the sons and daughters of liberty ..." - Bill Moyers

Jason Littlejohn - Candidate for KS State Representative, 45th District

Jason Littlejohn for KS House District 45 : Reform for Government and Relief for Kansans!

I am completely, 100% pro-life, and I am against embryonic stem-cell research. I do support adult stem-cell research, since it doesn't destroy human life, and it has shown some good results.

I am running as an independent, just like so many others out there, like Lieberman for example, because I believe that both major parties are not going to fix the problems in our nation or our State that need to be fixed.

  • I see a nation that needs to bring its jobs back, but doing so means overturning the WTO.
  • I see a nation that needs to stop Illegal Immigration, and that means taking away the incentive for cheap labor by enforcing the laws making it illegal to employ illegal aliens.
  • I see a nation that is really failing its children by removing the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit. Why shouldn't we allow parents the option of sending their children to school's in line with their beliefs by giving parents back their own tax money to make it happen (the hypocrites in D.C. almost exclusively send their children to private schools).
  • I see a nation that is being raped by the oil barons while our elected officials avoid even the discussion of using our own domestic oil that would save us hundreds of billions of dollars (just go to a search engine and type in GULL ISLAND).
  • I see a nation that is not being told the truth, and if I can get in there, I will make every attempt to increase the volume on issues that matter.

Kelly Taylor - Coming Through! The NAFTA Super Highway

"All across America, mammoth construction projects are preparing to launch. The NAFTA Super Highway is on a fast track and it's headed your way. If you don't help derail it, you may soon be run over by it - both figuratively and literally.

"The NAFTA Super Highway is a venture unlike any previous highway construction project. It is actually a daisy chain of dozens of corridors and coordinated projects that are expected to stretch out for several decades, cost hundreds of billions of dollars, and end up radically reconfiguring not only the physical landscape of these United States, but our political and economic landscapes as well.

"In Texas, the NAFTA Super Highway is being sold as the Trans Texas Corridor. In simplest terms, the TTC is a superhighway system including tollways for passenger vehicles and trucks; lanes for commercial and freight trucks; tracks for commuter rail and high-speed freight rail; depots for all rail lines; pipelines for oil, water, and natural gas; and electrical towers and cabling for communication and telephone lines. One of the proposed corridor routes, TTC-35, is parallel to the present Interstate Highway 35 (I-35), slightly to the east, running north from Mexico to Canada. Its present scope is 4,000 miles long, 1,200 feet wide, with an estimated cost of $183 billion of taxpayer funds. It runs through Kansas City." - Kelly Taylor

Open Message to the U.S. Congress - Just Say NO to Thieves and Their Bribes

Dear Congress,

Turn away from the thieves and their bribes to face your constituents, who elect you to represent them, who expect and demand that you obey the oath you swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution.

Our enemies are bribing you to break your oaths, to violate the Constitution, and to act against us for their own benefit. Perhaps they have made no oath to defend our country and uphold our laws, but you have.

Your treasonous, anti-American actions to date have severely eroded the economy, sovereignty, morality, and industry of America. Your consistent failure to act in defense of our God-given rights has handed our lives, children, health, property, animals, and other resources over to private, self-serving corporations.

Open Letter to League of Women Voters

The problem is a broken electoral system and politicians that violate their oaths of office and bend at every whim of corporate money.

Issue Idea - On Career Politicians Serving Themselves

We pay (involuntarily through taxes) people to work on new ways to regulate our activity and are left with no money to support people who would help stay informed of these efforts and mobilize a large enough resistence to such new regulations.

Here and there, certain new proposals of regulations are shocking enough to cause a sufficient negative reaction to stop them for the moment. If that negative reaction can't be managed (by the media, normally) to prevent it from stopping the proposal, then it is simply tabled for later, when it can be tried again. Seldom is a second wave of negative reaction to a regulation large enough to stop it (or at to overcome attempts to manage the reaction).

Activism Idea - Adopt a Public Meeting

The Bad Guys keep hoping that "good" people will despair and resort to "stupid" acts of retaliation against the system that keeps them in slavery, and there are many that fall to this temptation under the multiple, constant pressures imposed upon them. But, if only some people would start doing the "right" things: pay attention to what their officials are doing, care about the problems, and stand up to fill the obvious gaps in leadership, each one taking the closest gap at hand and sticking with it until momentum develops and the problems get turned around.

One simple action is to start attending meetings of local elected officials, challenging any socialist or selfish actions, informing others of the issues, and becoming a focal point for people that want to becoming involved themselves. The persistence of one or two at each local meeting can be the nucleus of energy needed to spark off grassroots activism.

IT’S THE LAW! Feds Pave the Way to TOLL and PRIVATIZE the Interstate Highways as Part of AMERICAN UNION

On July 29, 2005, President Bush signed a bill which permits and promotes the charging of tolls on existing and planned interstate highways, bridges, and tunnels. Before the passage of the bill, known as SAFETEA-LU, or “Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users”, it was generally illegal to charge tolls on roads built with Federal funds. What’s more, the tolls collected will be automatic, requiring universally compatible toll transponder tags on every vehicle.

SAFETEA-LU makes possible a variety of programs, all aimed at forcing Americans to pay to travel.

NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE PART

ACT NOW

Today we are seeing the results of our nation throwing away the sound doctrine that has served us so well, for so long. Today I see a nation where many of our children are having a difficult time judging right from wrong, a nation that my parents don't even recognize, a nation that has dramatically changed in just one generation.

Your care and concern is needed desperately. We are at a crossroads in our nation. Now is the time for good people to come to the aid of their country.

IF YOU WANT REFORM VOTE REFORM.

The FTAA & the New World Order Plan

In October of 2005, The New American magazine sent me to Waco to cover the "Free Trade in the Americas" conference at Baylor University. What I personally witnessed there confirmed what I already knew, that the globalists plan to turn the entire western hemisphere into an "American Union". Such a scheme would, by definition, destroy the national sovereignty of the United States of America.

At the Baylor conference, keynote speaker Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, former head of the World Trade Organization, current head of the United Nations Council on Trade and Development, and a devoted communist, stated that infrastructure projects were essential in order to physically link up all the regions of a "free trade" area. The other featured globalist at the conference, Richard Fisher, the chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and a member of both the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission, insisted that the FTAA, or Free Trade Area of the Americas, must be achieved.
