Reform Party of Kansas - Election Year - 2010[This Page|Printable PDF|All Flyers] Why Reform? Your family's interests as well as ours are being trampled upon by the self-interests of our elected officials who: Constantly seek to increase the size of our already enormous government; Further raise our taxes any time their pet projects are short of funds; Ignore or scorn our desires for morality and justice in government; Tolerate and even encourage the flood of illegal aliens into our country; Take away our constitutionally protected rights by unethical activity; Allow activist judges to make laws without authority and accountability; Steer us toward centralized federal control and one-world government; Neglect the security of our state and country in order to deploy our military in other countries where our national interests are not involved; Maintain the illusion of two opposing major parties that cooperate in the suppressing the message of political reform, especially by excluding us from state and national debates; Help large companies to move their factories and offices to other countries, taking our jobs away; Favor corporate over family farming. Where we stand: Illegal Immigration. Secure our borders and other points of entry against illegal crossings by aliens, drug smugglers, and other criminals. Taxes. Create a new tax system that shall be fair, hassle-free, and simple for all. Trade Policy. Promote fair trade, not free trade. Export products, not jobs. Eliminate agreements such as NAFTA and organizations such as the WTO that place the interests of multinational corporations ahead of those of U.S. Citizens. Oppose FTAA and work to eliminate trade deficits. Right-to-Life. Life begins at conception. Future Americans should be protected and raised to love and appreciate freedom: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Term Limits. Support reasonable term limits in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to eliminate career politicians. We encourage citizens to participate, to keep a watchful eye on their elected representatives, and to run for office when they see self-interest harming the public good. Education. Parents have the right and the duty to educate their children. The state and federal governments shall not usurp the parents' authority, nor should they impose mandatory taxes for objectionable educational programs. Second Amendment. We fully support the "right of the people to keep and bear arms," thus promoting safety for honest citizens and deterring criminal activity. We oppose the despots who seek to infringe upon this right. Farm Policy. We need to develop a farm policy that is fair to family farmers and puts an end to the land-grabbers who thrive on subsidies. The Tenth Amendment. The ever growing power of the centralized federal government over the rightful powers of the states is specifically contradicted by the tenth amendment of the U.S. Constitution. We call for the states to reclaim their proper responsibilities and to resist the constant enticement to give up their authority to the national government. Campaign Finance Reform. Remove the McCain-Feingold Muzzle on the First Amendment and simplify the onerous reporting burden imposed upon candidates who accept contributions to run for elected office. Vote Fraud. In elections, the votes cast mean almost nothing if the counting of the votes is controlled by a few. We call for clear voting with verifiable paper ballots and object to the casting of intangible ballots using computers, because they are highly susceptible to vote fraud. Buy American.
