In this column on July 24 (http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2007/cbarchive_20070724.html) I asked readers to help me locate The Black Regiment. These are patriot-preachers who have "understanding of the times, to know what [America] ought to do." (To borrow from I Chron. 12:32.)

Specifically, The Black Regiment is comprised of pastors who believe in constitutional government. They support the principles contained in the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. Their loyalties lie with Biblical and historic American principles, not political parties or politicians. They understand the importance of national sovereignty and independence. They oppose any attempt to merge the United States into any kind of regional or hemispheric government, whether it be political or commercial. They oppose preemptive wars of aggression. They refuse to surrender their individual liberties under the rubric of "security," which means they oppose warrantless wiretaps and eavesdropping and any other encroachment of our freedoms.
