Kansas AG drops 30 charges against abortionist

Pro-abortionist Paul Morrison delivered on his campaign promise to stop the investigation and prosecution of abortionist George Tiller - despite two judges finding probable cause that crimes were committed. But thanks to a move by the legislators in Kansas, that could all change now...

Dear Gus,

A battle which can change the course of the abortion movement is taking place in Kansas right now. With your help we can make sure that late term abortionist George Tiller will be charged with illegal abortion under Kansas law. It is vital that you act now to make it happen.

Just three months ago, then Attorney General Phill Kline filed 30 criminal counts against Tiller for violating the state's late-term abortion laws. Two independent judges reviewed the evidence and ruled that probable cause existed to charge Tiller. Within a few hours the abortion industry managed to get a judge to dismiss the charges without reviewing any of the evidence. It has since been revealed that this same judge has money ties to Tiller.

But as soon as Attorney General Paul Morrison took over, he took steps to ensure the case was quietly dropped - without further review of the evidence.

Kansans who support the rule of law have rallied and demanded that George Tiller be treated just like everyone else. Either he broke the law or he did not. An abortionist should not be above the law because of who he gives his political money to. Some members of the state legislature have finally taken notice.

This week, a resolution (HR 6018) was passed out of the Kansas Federal and State Affairs Committee ordering Morrison to reinstate the criminal charges against Tiller.

But a resolution passed out of committee is not enough. In order to be effective, the resolution must be passed by a full-floor vote. If this happens, because of the way the law is written, the Attorney General MUST then charge Tiller -- he has no choice.

Tiller has performed abortions on girls as young as 10 years old without reporting them as child rape. Also, he is still performing abortions on women from around the country up to the moment of birth --this must be stopped!

Take Action
1. Please send the e-mail to the Kansas Republican Speaker of the House Melvin Neufeld and Republican House Majority Leader Ray Merrick who have the ability call for the entire House of Representatives to vote for the Resolution. This is a historic moment that could begin to finally establish illegal late term abortion. Please help!

2. Please forward this letter to family and friends and ask them to encourage Kansas legislators to enforce the law and charge George Tiller.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association
