Chuck Baldwin - Needed: 3-Dimensional Leaders

I recently delivered a Sunday address entitled "The 3-Dimensional Life." This address was motivated by my belief that a major part of America's overall problem today derives from the fact that most people, including our leaders, live 1-dimensional lives. For the most part, they are ignorant of the past and oblivious to the future. Such people are incapable of making wise decisions, because they are only living for the present.

Without an appreciation and awareness of the past, we have no foundation on which to build our lives. Such people have lost all sense of history and heritage, and, without a heritage, they have no understanding or pride in who they are. Neither do they comprehend the morality, convictions, and sacrifices of their ancestors.

Furthermore, without cognizance of the future, we have no rudder or compass to guide us. People who live only for the present have no overriding sense of accountability or consequence. They judge their actions only in the light of immediate results with no regard for the plight of future generations.

Unfortunately, it seems that the vast majority of Americans are living a 1-dimensional life. And there seems to be little doubt that today's civil magistrates are sacrificing the future of America upon the altar of money, power, and ambition. Such conduct will quickly doom our once-great country.

Take a look at the average history book today. Where are the great stories of Washington and America's other Founding Fathers? They are practically nonexistent. Where are the references to the two Great Awakenings that revived spiritual piety in America? Where is the devotion to America's founding principles contained in the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights? All of this is totally lost to America's current generation.

St. Joan of Arc: One of the Greatest Patriots in History

Gary Melechinsky inspired me to make a page about Joan of Arc, I hope it lives up to his expectations.

Below is a brief timeline of the life of this great Patriot.

1412 (?), Jan 6 - Joan of Arc was born Jehanne D’Arc at Domremy France to Jacques and Isabelle d'Arc, during the Truce of Leulinghen. Sporadic warfare continued between two rival French factions, the Armagnacs and Burgundians.

1413 - The Burgundians, including Joan's future judge, Pierre Cauchon, sparked the brutal Cabochien Revolt in Paris in an effort to gain power. Cauchon would be exiled as punishment for his role in this revolt.

1415 - The Truce of Leulinghen came to an end as Henry V invaded France, defeating the Armagnac-dominated French Royal army at the battle of Aginçourt.

1424 (?) - When Joan was about 12 years old, she began hearing "voices" of St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret believing them to have been sent by God. These voices told her that it was her divine mission to free her country from the English and help the dauphin gain the French throne. They told her to cut her hair, dress in man's uniform and to pick up the arms.

Ron Paul - The Price of Delaying the Inevitable in Iraq

The growing demand by the American people for us to leave Iraq prompts the naysayers to predict disaster in the Middle East if we do. Of course, these merchants of fear are the same ones who predicted that invading and occupying Iraq would be a slam dunk operation; that we would be welcomed as liberators, and oil revenues would pay for the operation with minimal loss of American lives.

Ron Paul - Pro-Life Action Must Originate from Principle

As an obstetrician who has delivered over 4000 children, I have long been concerned with the rights of unborn people. I believe this is the greatest moral issue of our time. The very best of the western intellectual tradition has understood the critical link between moral and political action. Each of these disciplines should strongly inform and support the other.

I have become increasingly concerned over the years that the pro-life movement I so strongly support is getting further off track, both politically and morally. I sponsored the original pro-life amendment, which used a constitutional approach to solve the crisis of federalization of abortion law by the courts. The pro-life movement was with me and had my full support and admiration.

Those who cherish unborn life have become frustrated by our inability to overturn or significantly curtail Roe v. Wade. Because of this, attempts were made to fight against abortion using political convenience rather than principle. There is nothing wrong per se with fighting winnable battles, but a danger exists when political pragmatism requires the pro-life movement to surrender important moral and political principles.

When we surrender constitutional principles, we do untold damage to the moral underpinnings on which our Constitution and entire system of government rest. Those underpinnings are the inalienable right to life, liberty, and property. Commenting upon the link between our most important rights, Thomas Jefferson said “The God which gave us life gave us at the same time liberty. The hands of force may destroy but can never divide these.”

Norman Chenoweth - National Media's Criminal Conspiracy

The conduct of the national media and their criminal conspiracy against (Libertarian) Republican Texas congressman Dr. Ron Paul is utterly amazing. For the first time in over one hundred years we have a true "patriot" running for the office of President, and the media is totally ignoring him like he has the plague. It is obvious that those who control our national media also seek a central world government. Also included in this conspiracy are the elite private International Bankers that own the Federal Reserve, who plotted years ago to gain control over the media. They have been very successful with that endeavor.

Let's look at the facts.

  1. Ron Paul stated in the first debate that he would get rid of the IRS.

That statement alone should have made him the talk of the nation; no other candidate has stated that. Surely this is newsworthy, but not a word about it from our controlled national media.

  2. In the second debate Ron Paul stated he would get rid of the inflation tax. A 1913-dollar now being worth only four cents. That statement implies he would get rid of the Federal Reserve.

No one has had the courage to do this since 1836 when Andrew Jackson threw out the bankers, calling them exactly what they are, "You are a den of vipers and thieves." This sure seems newsworthy but still no follow-up from our controlled national media.

  3. Ron Paul wants to get back on a Gold standard and actually have money that is worth something other than worthless paper.

This country became the greatest and most prosperous nation on earth when it was on a gold standard. Again this seems newsworthy but not a word from our controlled national media.

Al Cronkrite - Conniving To Win: It's a Losing Plan

Barring a major revolt in the electorate, the coroner may soon be called to determine the cause of the death of the American Democratic Republic. The Constitution is no longer a binding document in the high circles of our government. Instead its mandates are considered anachronistic and no longer applicable to our current situation. Yes, once in a while it is dragged out and its passages are sited but only to support some predetermined position.

My Biblical studies have taught me that obedience is the primary desire of King Jesus and, as a result I believe, all politicians should be obedient to their oath to obey the Constitution. When they are unable to do so they should resign or be voted out of office. At the present time this would require that our President and almost all of our congressmen and senators with the exception of Texas Representative Ron Paul be voted out of office.

Al Cronkrite - Be Specific: Label a Provable Culprit

There is confusion about who is responsible for the continued slide of United States into World Government and Totalitarianism. A reliable yard stick is needed.

When Karl Marx and Frederick Engels wrote the Communist Manifesto they listed ten steps necessary to overthrow the free enterprise system. These principles have all become part of the fabric of the United States Government.

1st Plank of Communism: Abolish Private Property. This is being accomplished by land use laws, property taxes, zoning laws, environmental laws, etc.

2nd Plank of Communism: A heavy progressive income tax. There was NO income tax until 1913 when it began at 1%, never to go above 2%. What are you paying?

Chuck Baldwin - George W. Bush Is GOP's Bill Clinton

Those of you who heard my radio program back in 2001 know that I predicted then that George W. Bush would do to the Republican Party much the same thing that Bill Clinton did to the Democratic Party. However, I must confess, I could not then realize the magnitude of that prediction.

Most of us remember that it was the election of Bill Clinton in 1992 that was the impetus for the Republican revolution of 1994. If you recall, a congressional election sweep of the magnitude of 1994 had not been seen in the previous seventy years. It is a truism that Bill Clinton helped to elect more Republicans than the Republican National Committee could ever dream about. Now, the same thing is happening with George W. Bush. In spades!

Chuck Baldwin - By Any Other Name, Amnesty Bill Still Stinks!

One of Shakespeare's most oft-quoted phrases comes from Romeo and Juliet, where Juliet asks Romeo: "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Accordingly, President Bush and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid can call their immigration bill by any name they want to, but it is still amnesty, and it still stinks!

Hopefully, readers are aware that the Bush/Kennedy amnesty bill is being debated in the U.S. Senate this week with both the White House and senate leaders hopeful of quick passage.

If it passes, the proposed immigration bill would immediately give all 12-20 million illegal aliens already in the United States "probationary" citizenship. It would also put an estimated 60 million immigrants on the path to citizenship over the next 20 years. In exchange for granting U.S. citizenship to tens of millions of illegals, the bill promises to better protect America's borders.

However, what is abundantly clear is that the federal government's idea of border enforcement is totally without meaning or merit. Consider the fact that the United States already has copious laws against illegal immigration, including punishment for businesses that hire illegals. So, what good have these laws done? Very little.

Ron Paul - Fixing What's Wrong With Iraq

As it turned out, Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction, no al-Qaeda activity, and no ability to attack the United States. Regardless of this, however, when we look at the original authorization for the use of force it is clearly obvious that our military has met both objectives. Our military very quickly removed the regime of Saddam Hussein, against whom the United Nations resolutions were targeted. A government approved by the United States has been elected in post-Saddam Iraq, fulfilling the first objective of the authorization.
