State Representative

Topic: NAIS - National Animal Identification System - International Control of Meat Production

The National Animal Identification System (NAIS) [Videos] is an international tracking system that favors the big corporate farmers, and it is already in place in several unfortunate countries and even in some states in the U.S.

NAIS forces RF-ID tagging of all livestock and even the tracking of their feed. Congress has passed a "law" that forces all states to make it mandatory by 2009.

This Orwellian NAIS attempts to force farmers and ranchers to register their premises (which is the pivotal first step locking each rancher into a binding contract; don't do this!), to invest in costly equipment, including RF-ID tags for every animal (costing from $5 to $10 each, not normally reimbursed by the packers), and even to tell the authorities whenever animals are moved off their property, whenever they are born, sold, or have died within days. Non-compliance is punished with a $1000 per day fine.

NAIS will be the final destruction of the small family farms and ranches, since it will add crushing expenses, regulations, and fines to their already high costs of staying in business. As more and more local farms and ranches shut down, to the delight of the multi-national "Big-Beef"/"Big-Bird" companies (like Cargill, ADM, and Tyson), our food quality will diminish from the reduced competition.

Do you Eat?! Then you should be against NAIS! There are groups in different states that have formed to fight NAIS in their respective states.

Vote Judy Tucker for Kansas House Distr. #5.

My Top Three Policy Issues

  1. Hold Elected Officials Accountable to Kansas Voters and Stop Serving Corporations and Special Interests.
  2. Stop the Security and Prosperity Partnership in Kansas and its promises to legalize the millions of invading illegal aliens and to steal thousands of acres of private land with the abuse of Eminent Domain.
  3. Stop the enforcement of Codex Alimentarius, which will outlaw natural supplements and herbs and other maneuvers of corporations to block competition from Kansas businesses.

Vote for Judy Tucker

Having watched the actions of Government in my many years as a Mother and Grandparent of two beautiful Grandchildren, I am now running for KS State Representative to make our Elected Government Officials accountable to the People instead of serving the Corporations and Special Interest Groups.

So Whats so different about us REFORM people...

For far too long, those who have been fortunate enough to find themselves with the responsibility of being our representatives have often times grown accustomed to their appointments and often times have found that it is far better for themselves to keep a low profile and support positions that, unfortunately, ignore pressing issues of concern. As a Kansan and an American I have noticed many developments that are occuring all around us that are troubling both on a State wide and a National level. One of the true joy's in my life is my hobby as a journalist. For many years it has been my goal in life to expose problems and offer solutions. I believe that a wise thing to do is to interview people who have had success with various problems and then listen to those who have "been there and done that" .
I believe this process has been circumvented for a long time by a motivation to retain office at any cost. I want to break that mold.

Take Action - Say "No" to More Student Searches

UPDATE: On 9/20/2006, Congress passed the Student and Teacher Safety Act by voice vote! That's right: no record of who was explicitly in favor of it, and no representative objected to it. Call 202/224-3121 to ask your representative's staff to explain why he/she raised no objection to warrantless searches of students!

Students for Sensible Drug Policy is asking for your help to stop a bill that would further curtail the rights of students in public schools all across the country. The so-called “Student and Teacher Safety Act of 2006” (H.R. 5295) would make it easier for teachers and school administrators to search students’ lockers and bags for drugs and other contraband. SSDP needs your help to make sure that this bill never becomes law.

H.R. 5295 would allow school officials to search dozens or even hundreds of students based on the mere suspicion that just one student brought drugs to school. This kind of justification allowed police officers to storm a high school in Goose Creek, SC, in 2003, forcing dozens of students to the ground and pointing guns directly at their faces during a misguided raid in which no drugs were found.

This bill is nothing more than another attack on the constitutional rights of young people by the federal government. Students should never have to check their constitutional rights at the schoolhouse door.

Leslie Martin - Reform Candidate for KS State Representative, 61st District

Leslie Martin, Reform Candidate for KS State Representative, 61st District

Leslie Martin is a strong proponent of traditional family values. She is pro-life and against embryonic stem-cell research.

Leslie is particularly concerned about the National Animal Identification System, which forces RF-ID tagging of all livestock and even the tracking of their feed, and which Congress has scheduled to become mandatory in all states by 2009.

Vote for Leslie Martin for Kansas State Representative, District #61.

Bob Dacy - Voting Problems Strike Again in Austin

"My name is Bob Dacy. I am the host of “The Simple Truth”, a political TV talk show cablecast in Austin, Texas. This morning, I attempted to vote before going to work. I say “attempted” because the Hart Intercivic E-Slate machines we use in Travis county prevented me from doing so.

I was the third voter in line, but, since one of the three machines at precinct 228 was not operational, I waited in line behind the first voter. She “voted” and left the booth. I entered the booth and put in my code number.

The ballot that appeared before me was complete nonsense. It was asking for my vote on such propositions as whether wheels should be mandated on office chairs, whether poll workers should be exempt from having to pay taxes, whether we should mandate 4 week vacations instead of 2 week vacations, and whether we should have a 3 day workweek. I looked at the poll worker nearby, a neighbor of mine, and asked him if this was a joke." - Bob Dacy

Bob Dacy - It’s the Law! Feds Pave the Way to Toll and Privatize the Interstate Highways

"On July 29, 2005, President Bush signed a bill which permits and promotes the charging of tolls on existing and planned interstate highways, bridges, and tunnels. Before the passage of the bill, known as SAFETEA-LU, or “Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users”, it was generally illegal to charge tolls on roads built with Federal funds. What’s more, the tolls collected will be automatic, requiring universally compatible toll transponder tags on every vehicle.

SAFETEA-LU makes possible a variety of programs, all aimed at forcing Americans to pay to travel." - Bob Dacy
